In Memoriam...

Today is World AIDS Day.

Many more folk are living with AIDS today than in the 1980s, but there are still plenty dying because they can't afford the antiretroviral treatment to keep them alive -- and that is getting increasingly worse.

Hey Deb, something here. If you have not heard of Dr. Sebi this will be interesting. I saw this post and thought I would post the vid.

Amenta, hey! No I'd not heard of Dr. Sebi before and yes, it is interesting. So much so, I watched parts 2 & 3 as well. A lot to "digest," no pun intended. I did go into the cassava field as well while I was there, but I had no idea it was not native to the country. But given the prior Portuguese presence there, what he says made sense!

I've no doubt that herbs vs pharmaceuticals as well as changing how we eat are the way to healing. It seems every time I go to the doctor, there's a pill to be suggested for e'erything! I hate taking pills! Not until 2010 did I regularly start taking one for HBP which I'm sure, I could control better through a better diet and some damned exercise -- but I've become lazy and subsequently packed on more pounds than I've ever carried in my life! Despite my laziness though, I have to say, I'm leery as hell of all these "Weight Watcher's" programs and such where they, send you their food to eat! Something's just not right about that shit....

After the stroke, they wanted to add two more pills
I should take daily, both of which I decided against saying, "People always talking about drug dealers on the corner, but you people are the biggest drug dealers I've ever seen!" Needless to say, that didn't go over very well.

So much to "unlearn" and learn, my Brother. Tell me you'll keep posting information that I can check out to help me in that regard.

Peace

Yes for sure sistah Deb. This is our primary fight, health not health care but good health. I myself am on a mission to free myself from this, our first enemy. Those that poison our food, thus hurting our health.

Amenta..."Those that poison our food, thus hurting our health." -- and then offering up "sure-fire" cures that turn out to be just as, or more poisonous than the original poison. {smdh}
