Spirit called Chavez, and now Fidel -- who will rise against the imperialism of the West now? Rest in power, Sir

Fidel Castro Ruz, Aug. 13, 1926 -- November 25, 2016:

No, I've never been to Cuba (but I do want to go).  However,  I've loved the spirit of Fidel Castro (and others like him) for as long as I've been woke.  I wonder -- would Miami Cubans have been happier if they'd lived under the Batista regime all these years instead of under Fidel?  Fidel said, "History will absolve me."  I agree with him.

I worry about the Changeling's supposed, opening-up toward Cuba (embargo totally done?  Nah!), because it seems to me, Cuba will go back to the mob-run, Sinatra days with capitalism running rampant under Orange-hair.  And then, there's Assata...

Sis Deb, I find it interesting the numerous ways Fidel Castro was viewed by the world and to such extremes. The west has forgotten how Cuba stood by Mandela back in the days when he was viewed by America and the west as a terrorist. I featured an article on my curated Paper shared by Ibram X. Kendi.on their relationship and how instrumental their intervention was during that time. Mandela made a point of visiting Castro when he was released from prison to the chagrin of the hypocritical west. I've gone on too long...so I will wrap this up.

BTW: Sister Assata and other freedom fighters who were given asylum by the Cuban government are on my mind. A comment made on one of the black websites indicated that they should relocate for things are quickly changing. "Many things are true at once"!

Hey Sister Carolyn! Been out-of-pocket for awhile. I've been gone since Mathew hit SC -- and needed to be. I was in Tampa for a week or so, and then, me, the husband and the dogs went to TX to see my brand, new grand baby! She's gorgeous -- and I worry about her future. I figure all I can do to help her and her sister is to start savin' cash for them so they won't be at the mercy of this f*cked up society we will have left for them.

"The west has forgotten how Cuba stood by Mandela back in the days when he was viewed by America and the west as a terrorist."

They also forgot how he sent Cuban forces to fight the Western-backed, apartheid-believen' rebels in Angola. To them, and to many Africans, he is a revolutionary hero! I mourn Fidel -- I just hope Raul can be as strong (capitalism is a strong and enduring temptress!!!).

I too worry about Assata, et. al. I hope they know (better than me) what their situation portends. Where can they relocate? Join Snowden in Russia (not a bad idea if Putin's willin' and the creek don't rise, right)?

Thanx for stoppin' in and checkin' in on me Sis Carolyn, 'preciate ya...

I was concerned about you during 'Matthew' and wondered if you and your family were safe. Checked your blog to see if you were posting from time to time. Congratulations on the arrival of your "grandbaby" ^◡^

As for Assata and the other freedom fighters; it was suggested that one or two of the "woke" African countries could provide asylum if Raul Castro falls victim to the Trump regime.

Take care Sis Deb...
